About Me
My name is Judi Bajgot and I fell in love with sewing in 7th grade home ec class. My mom bought me labels with my name on them to sew into my handmade clothes. I've been sewing on and off my entire life, on the same vintage Kenmore machine that my mom gave me in 1976.

In 2017, my lifelong friend, Amy, introduced me to a Japanese Saori weaving studio run by a wonderful teacher, Mihoko, and it was love at first sight! I bought a Saori loom a few months later.

I started weaving wall-hangings and scarves, and larger cloths which turned into table runners and pillows. I knew that I had to combine my weaving with my sewing. One day I saw a pattern for a simple tote bag and whipped it up in no time with some of my handwoven fabric scraps. That's all it took for me to get hooked on bag making! I started learning everything I could and began experimenting with adding vegan and animal leathers and different hardware to my bags. I'm now dyeing and hand painting much of the yarn that I incorporate into my cloth.

The art of bag making combines all of my favorite things -- weaving, sewing, yarns, fabrics, textures and color!

I started showing my bags off at the weaving studio and my fellow weavers wanted me to make bags for them with their own handwoven cloth! So my little business began.

I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to display and sell many of my creations at different venues over the past several years.

In addition to making bags that I find interesting and challenging just for fun, I take custom orders.

At the moment my repertoire includes accessories such as scarves, shawls, wall-hangings and pillows, as well as handbags, cross-body bags, cellphone bags, pouches/makeup bags, wristlets, totes, laptop bags, weekend/project bags, backpacks and diaper bags. But the sky's the limit!
